Warm fragrant poached plums with apple and strawberry soy milk sorbet

This is a beautiful, simple, fruity dessert with a lactose-free sorbet on the side.

Serves: 6 people


18 ripe plums
500 ml berry juice
4 (Granny Smith variety), chopped apples
100 g, chopped strawberries
250 ml soya milk
edible pansies or rose petals, to garnish


Place plums with berry juice in a saucepan and simmer for 15 minutes or until soft. Place the apples, strawberries and soya milk into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a bowl and freeze. To serve, place a few plums into a bowl with some of the syrup and a scoop of the apple sorbet. Decorate the dessert with edible flowers like washed pansies or rose petals.
