From start to finish, the food was what I would rate zero. Starters prawn Springrolls , over fried almost burnt. Served with bland chili sauce. Mains Rice chicken noodles. Tasteless, we counted 5 tiny strips of Chicken . Chili and basil prawns. Tons of onions, green beans. Uncooked frozen.prawns. When we approached the manager/Owner, his response was, " I don't know what I need to apologize for". Seriously, we merely brought it to your attention is so you don't treat all of your customers the way you treated us. As a world traveler, I have eaten Thai food around the world and as a chef myself, your restaurant served the worse in my experience. Suggestion, treat your customers equally, look past their color of skin. Don't serve with assumptions but serve with passion. Best chef is a chef with passion for food and service.
Went for dinner tonight at Green Mango. Heard a lot of hype about the place. Rated as one of Durban top 5 restaurants.Disappointing to say the least. Let me start.... sushi platter for two in a tiny square side platter, one marble size wasabi, 6 small slices of Ginger, remember it's for 2 people! The presentation was appalling. Sushi cut into teeny weeny bite size, no finesse in its presentation. No decor. Rice was hardly sticking to the roll, quite lacking, to say the least. Halfway through, we ran out of wasabi and ginger. Ordered more ginger, was charged R8.00 for a few little slithers. Only good thing was the tuna and salmon was tasty and fresh. Not going back

This is my all time fave. Whole fish - yes please!

Very chilled place to spend an evening or lazy afternoon. Roger is probably the best sushi chef in Durban. Relaxed atmosphere with an extensive menu to suite all tastes. In my personal top 10 in Durban.

Try the duck salad on crispy spinach - But the bamboo rolls are still my favourite!
