Owner's description

Hudsons the Burger Joint, as the name implies, is an American-style diner, their rock and roll beats and attentive, eye-catching staff all set the fast paced tone for the urban consumer on the hunt for casual gourmet.

Each burger has a story; its ingredients, name and recipe are all hand selected and perfected by the owners, David and Ross. It is a simple recipe; a beef patty made with the finest cuts, topped with the freshest ingredients. The bun is no exception, as Ross uses a personal recipe to create its distinctive flavour. Gourmet or innovative, call it what you will, they’re just damn good burgers topped with thought-provoking combinations such as biltong chilli cream cheese, bacon jam, deboned rib and beer battered jalapeños, resulting in a sensory explosion.

Sticking by their beliefs that hand-made is best, a must-try is the Boilermaker exclusive to Hudsons, crafted once a month at Lakeside Beerworks, and the Hudsons Pale Ale, which is brewed at the Cape Brewing Company. Finish off the Hudsons experience with their colossal milkshakes, renowned for their ingenious flavours, such as house made fudge. These milkshakes, along with their burgers, have achieved cult status.

Sit down or take-away, Hudsons is something you are going to want to repeat.

Great tasting burgers with a delicious chip side. Unfortunately let down by the poor service. Waited 45 min. for our food and when the designates driver asked for a Castle free "beer" the waitress adamently said that they do not have it. Only after it was pointed out that it is on the menu and that she should enquire, was it served. Burgers finally arrived, but not the cutlery... ai tog!
A perfect venue for the occasion! The food was incredibly tasty and the service good. My only criticism is two on-tap pints I ordered weren’t possible due to faulty taps etc. Otherwise a superb place to share some great food and fun times!
We love Hudson's for a great burger - the selection seems endless - but each one is delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the berry press cocktail served in a cafetiere - genius idea. The sides are also tasty - the coleslaw and the sweet potato fries are a winner.
Smallest Hudson's in Cape Town but they do deliver great burgers, beer and insane milkshakes and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Very relax vibe and if you want a good quality burger, give them a try.
Such a great vibe at this restaurant! And the burgers are delicious. They offer carb free and gluten free rolls for your burgers, which is great as well!!
