In 2022, Eat Out brought back its iconic awards event, which proved to be an enormous success. As the world of events and social trends continues to evolve, we know that adaptability is key to staying ahead of the curve. Fortunately, hosting events has always been a fundamental part of the Eat Out DNA. That’s why we’re expanding this area of our brand and reimagining our approach to give people the chance to experience something truly unique and different, some would even say “off-the-wall” – where everything is centred around the collaboration of our country’s most talented chefs.

Introducing The Art of Food – a series of bespoke, exclusive boutique events hosted in partnership with luxury motor brand Lexus. These events embody everything that the Eat Out brand values: connecting, eating, sharing experiences, and celebrating the creativity of South Africa’s culinary geniuses. Lexus came on board in 2022 as the official Eat Out motoring partner and we are excited to see this partnership flourish with the Art of Food concept.

Each event will have a special theme, whether it’s sustainability and open-fire cooking or high glamour with a nod to splendour, meticulous detail, and craftsmanship. To ensure that each guest has the ultimate premium and personal experience, every event will be limited to a small group of 50 guests.

Join us on the journey as we explore the artistry of food and the passion of our country’s top chefs. The Art of Food promises to be a succession of unforgettable experiences.

Eat Out Head of Content, Tessa Purdon, explains why The Art of Food is such an exciting initiative.

“Experiential marketing is incredibly powerful in today’s world and Eat Out is ideally placed to help our brand partners connect with consumers. After lockdown, it was clear to us that the idea of gathering and connecting is something that will never go away, and the launch of the Eat Out Art of Food series allows us to really push the envelope of our creativity and to create a customised, tailored experience for guests. By immersing them in our world, we’re able to build stronger, more meaningful relationships with them.”

“Lexus’ long commitment to the culinary industry is the perfect fit for the Eat Out partnership,” states Lensha Dlamini, Lexus Marketing & Communications Manager. “We started off with last year’s restaurant awards and are thrilled to continue the journey with Eat Out in 2023. As such, our collaboration marks a shift in our brand strategy to reach a more diverse and socially engaged audience. Lexus vehicles are crafted with masterful skill and attention to detail, and are meticulously engineered. And true to our Experience Amazing tagline, a drive in a Lexus is exactly that.

“The Eat Out partnership is the most ideal platform for the alternative Lexus consumer, redefining modern luxury, lifestyle experiences and style. Lexus is proud to be the official luxury automotive partner.”
